St Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church
Adult Faith Formation
To encourage all parishioners to actively participate in their own spiritual growth, our parish offers classes at various times covering a wide range of topics. Watch the weekly bulletin for additional classes and speakers throughout the year. Schedules are available and registration can be done through the Religious Education office at 761-1176.
Bible Study
The Bible Study Group usually meets after mass from October through April. They currently use the Little Rock Bible Study Series. No advance knowledge of scripture is required and you can join anytime. Preparation for each class is suggested.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
RCIA provides an opportunity for adults who are seeking full communion with the Church to learn about the Catholic faith. Classes meet Thursday evenings 7:30-9:00 from September through the Feast of Pentecost (May). Full communion for catechumens (not yet baptized) and candidates (already baptized in the Christian faith) occurs at the Easter Vigil. Catholic spouses or any parishioners are welcome to attend the classes. Those interested in RCIA can talk with Deacon Frank Iannarino at 798-9763.

Volunteers are needed to act as companions to the candidates and catechumens or to serve on a hospitality committee. Any catechists (teachers) who are willing to share their talents are also encouraged to join our team. Contact Deacon Frank if you would like to be part of this fulfilling ministry.

Diocesan Catechist Certification Program Primarily designed to satisfy diocesan requirements for teacher certification, these series of two hour classes are taught by diocesan instructors and are offered periodically at St. Brigid. We encourage anyone interested in learning about our rich Catholic history and faith to attend these excellent classes. They may be taken for credit or personal enrichment.
Catechist Magazine
Meeting one Sunday each month, from September through April, this class requires advance preparation using the outline provided by Catechist Magazine. Topics vary each year. Classes may be taken for graduate credit, continuing education units, catechist certification or personal enrichment.
Tuesday Morning Group
This discussion group meets Tuesday mornings (9:45-11:45) from September through May. Topics vary and cover a broad spectrum. The theme for this year is Christian Morality with sources from a variety of Catholic literature. Mary Fran Cassidy facilitates the discussion and invites you to join anytime..
