St Brigid of Kildare Couple to Couple Program

The Couple to Couple Marriage Preparation is also mandatory. After the couple receives the Guidelines for Celebrating Marriage from the Parish Office, they should make an appointment with the clergy. During this meeting the couple will be given a test called FOCUS. FOCUS is an excellent premarital personality inventory created to assist couples in becoming more familiar with married life according to the teachings of the Catholic Church. Once this test has been scored, the engaged couple will be assigned to a married couple in our Couple to Couple program. This married couple will meet with the engaged couple three (3) to four (4) times. As facilitators of the FOCUS instrument, the married mentor couple will be responsible for guiding the engaged couple through a consideration of the major categories of coupled living. St. Brigid of Kildare parish will attempt to give its engaged couples the very best marriage preparation possible.
