Adult Faith Formation
We as Catholic adults have grown in our ability to enter into strong relationships, to parent effectively and to be proficient in our chosen profession or occupation. However, other than participating in the celebration of the Liturgy, and helping our children with their Religion homework, few of us have been involved in anything formal which brings us to a greater knowledge of our faith or deepens our Spritual Life.
St. Brigid of Kildare Parish has always offered opportunities for Adult Faith Formation to our parishioners. Wanting to broaden and enhance these opportunities, in the fall of 2012 Monsignor Hendricks and the Parish Steering Committee created the School of Adult Faith Formation. The ultimate goal of the School of Adult Faith Formation is not learning for the sake of learning, but learning in order to deepen our relationship with God, to become more immersed in the faith of the church and our own faith, and to become more engaged in the life of the parish and its outreach to the larger community within which we live. As the School grows, more and more opportunities will be offered, the current ones are detailed below.
Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF)
