ENCOUNTERING THE LIVING CHRIST – RELIGIOUS ED. ACTIVITIES

SAND VOLLEYBALL – AVERY ROAD PARK – TUESDAY AUGUST 21-
7-8PM – We have adults with PGC –
Bring water for yourself – snacks to share and friends

Mayfair Ice Cream Social – August 26 – 1:30PM to 3:15PM – (Official Event)
We will have adults with PGC at this event so students Grade 5 and above can be dropped off. Come to Mayfair on Hayden opposite Bravo’s restaurant. We need students to serve ice cream and visit rooms. We have entertainment this month with a piano player, violin player and a quartet coming to sing some songs. We are very light on help for visiting rooms and delivering ice cream right now so could use more help in this area.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Pick up an information folder at the event table at RE any night of class and start working on your shoebox. We will work at the collection center 11/18.

OHIO WILDLIFE PRESERVE – WILDFEST- SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 29th (Official Event)
John Myers is our backup adult with PGC
We have been asked to help as a group from 9AM to 1PM – Let me know if you can join us. (We need fifteen students and have three signed up so far). Please contact me if you can work the opening shift.

PUMPKIN CAMPAIGN AT RELIGIOUS ED.
We will need families who will be able to collect food left at the table in the cafeteria and bring it to the DUBLIN FOOD PANTRY off Bridge Street at the Dublin Community Church on October 15, 16, 22 and 23. We would need volunteers for the 4:30/6:00 time slots on Monday and Tuesday and the 7:30 time slot on Monday. If you can help, please let me know.

Mayfair Ice Cream Social – October 21 – 1:30PM to 3:15PM – (Official Event)
We will have adults with PGC at this event so students can be dropped off
Dublin Food Pantry (Nights of November 8 and 15 – 6PM to 8PM –
(Official Events))
Debbie Tillman has agreed to be the extra adult for one of the pantry nights. Let me know if anyone else can do the other. She told me ether one will work for her. We will sort food and make up food boxes for the Harvest of Help on both nights.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD - Sunday afternoon – November 18 –
(Official Event) – Denise McKenna is our backup adult with PGC at this event. Help wrap and pack boxes at the Columbus distribution center. 8th Graders are especially needed to help unload vans / trucks and load boxes into the tractor trailers.

OPERATION COOKIE STORM – Saturday December 1 –
St. Brigid School Cafeteria – Help make cookies, ornaments, cards, and cookie bags to send to our troops for the holidays.

Mayfair Ice Cream Social – December 16 – 1:30PM to 3:15PM (Christmas Caroling) – (Official Event)
We will have adults with PGC at this event, so students can be dropped off.
Soup Kitchen Weekend
Saturday January 12 – St. John – Holy Rosary Catholic Church –
(Must be 12 and above to work Saturday)
Leaving St. Brigid 8AM and returning 2:30PM. Limit of Ten students.
Will need one to two drivers with PGC.
Sunday January 13 – Lutheran Church – Hilltop Area of Columbus
Will need one or two drivers with PGC

OSU Ice Hockey Game – Family Event
Game will be Saturday January 19, 2008 vs. Michigan State
Will need adults with PGC if students wish to come with friends

Homeless Center to Play with Children – Sunday January 27
Carpool to the YWCA Interfaith Hospitality Family Center on 5th Ave. near Ohio Dominican. We will bring toys and games to play with the children and we will bring fruit to do a snack with them while we are there. We will need one or two drivers with PGC.

First Communion Workshop – Saturday February 2
Due to teachers at the event only need one adult with PGC from
8:30AM to 9:30AM day of the event

Mayfair Ice Cream Social – Sunday February 3 – 1:30PM to 3:15PM
Need one more adult with PGC

Mohun BINGO – Game Day – (Official Event)
Linda Gause said she would be our other adult with PGC
Sunday March 2 – Meet at St. Brigid 1:15PM – return 4:30PM

Wright Patterson Air Force Museum- Family Event
Rescheduled from this past year – let me know if you prefer one date over the other – Saturday May 3 or Sunday May 4

Shrine of Maria Stein and Museum of Relics - Sunday May 18 – Family Event
Leave following the 9AM Mass and Return about 5PM
