Embracing the Future Campaign, Phase II

St. Brigid of Kildare Parish expanded their church in the fall of 2009.  The expansion added 500 seats in the worship space as well as other expanded facilities within the church building and parkling lot.

The Parish expansion is the result of the Parish’s 1999 long range planning project called “Facility Needs Assessment.” This project created a blueprint for St. Brigid’s future needs and growth over a 15-year timeframe. The Assessment called for an expansion of the church (originally build in 1991) to meet the projected growth of the Parish. The projections were well founded, as St. Brigid currently ministers to over 3,000 families.

By increasing the size and seating capacity of our church sanctuary, our Parish can accommodate the growing numbers of Parishioners attending Mass each week, even if the number of Masses over the weekend have to decrease.

Msgr. Joseph M. Hendricks, Pastor of St. Brigid, is gratified by the ongoing support the parish has provided in supporting the long range plan as well as the many previous expansion projects on St. Brigid campus.

“We continue to be a people of faith,” Msgr. Hendricks said. “The foundation of this faith is our liturgy. We have been blessed to have this beautiful worship space. But we have needed to prepare for the future. This will not impact but rather enhance your worship experience. The renovations made, make it possible to share the faith experience with our entire congregation. We were pioneers and we now begin again.”
