Endowments are for anyone who wishes that their favorite charities may benefit forever.
Many people believe that endowments are only for wealthy individuals or large institutions like universities. In reality, an endowment is for anyone who wishes that their favorite charities may benefit forever. With an endowment, the gift stays permanently invested, while an annual distribution or grant from its income is made to support the charities designated forever. St. Brigid of Kildare Parish has over 18 endowments at the Catholic Foundation. These endowments fund Tution assistance for the elementary school and Religious Education, teacher enrichment, operational needs of the parish, and parish maintenance. The total value of these funds exceed 1 million dollars. The Catholic Foundation uses its resources to aid St. Brigid of Kildare Parish in offering a variety of charitable giving instruments and vehicles to provide donors with an array of options for their gifts. The Catholic Foundation manages the funds with an investment committee and a team of professional money managers to maximize and protect the potential of yearly distribution to St. Brigid of Kildare Parish. Those individuals and families that establish an endowment are recognized through the Mary of the Gael Society.
